Slip's Racing Designs #9 Jerry Nadeau Cartoon Network 'Dexter' / Harry Melling Tribute Taurus - 1999 Kmart 400

Product Description

Most fans will remember the light blue Cartoon Network scheme featuring the characters from Dexter's Laboratory that Jerry Nadeau ran at select races during the first half of 1999. Few fans, however, will remember ever seeing the red variant (Melling Red in fact!) which ran at the 1999 Kmart 400 at Michigan in June. This was a special one-off tribute scheme run the week after team founder and engine builder Harry Melling passed. The car was red, the numbers were white and the deck lid featured a farewell to Harry and the signatures of all team members and many notable drivers who had worked with Melling over the decades. Nadeau kept the car clean all day but brought it home in an unremarkable 26th place that day. I recreated this scheme as closely as I could based off of limited amount of photos and race footage available - deck lid signatures included! This large A4 sheet includes white underlays to help brighten the decals applied over the red paint of this car.
